School Uniform Shop
There are a number of used uniform items available for sale through the school office. If you would like to access this facility, please see the School Secretary. Costs of uniforms vary according to their quality. Before and After School Care St Joseph's school does not run a before of afer school care facility, however several of our students access the local "NOOSH" service available for after school care. This facility runs all year, also offering school holiday care with a variety of fun filled programs. Costs are minimal and students can catch a school bus to this facility after school. For more information, please contact the school office. Pastoral Care The School Pastoral Care policy caters for all students, supporting their welfare. It is closely aligned with our Vision and Mission Policy, based on Gospel Values and evident in all aspects of School life. For more information on this policy, please follow the link below. School Counsellor St Joseph School has access to a School Counsellor through Centacare. The counsellor visits the school fortnightly, and appointments may be made in advance. Should you require the services of the school counsellor, please contact either the office, or your child's teacher to obtain an application form. School Library We are very proud of our newly refurbished School Library. During 2007 funding through the Government initiative "Investing In Schools" provided St Joseph's with thousands of new books and multi-media resources which are available for members of our school community. There are sections suitable for all age groups, including a parent section. All students have access to the School Library and are encouraged to borrow. School Tuckshop The School Tuckshop opperates each Monday and Friday. Students may order from a summer menu (Terms 1 & 4) or a winter menu (Terms 2 & 3). These menus are sent home at the beginning of each term outlining available items and costs. Students wishing to place an order are asked to write their order on a paper bag, include their name and class, place the appropriate money in the bag and put in the class Lunch Order tub. School Banking School banking day is Thursday and operates through the Bendigo Community Bank. Students with Bendigo Bank accounts may access banking by bringing their bank books to school and handing them to the classroom teacher early Thursday morning. The Bendigo Bank makes a donation to the school each year in appreciation of the school offering this service to the students. Buses School buses are operated by several different companies and bring students to school from both outlying rural areas, including Grong Grong and Morundah, as well as from wthin the town. Buses arrive at school between 8.30am and 8.45am and leave between 3.20pm and 3.40pm. School supervision is provided while waiting for buses.
